The next group of REIQ Young Guns is about to be discovered so if you have kicked some major career goals in the past year, you should apply! 2017 REIQ Young Guns Jesse Willcox and Mitchell Lambert from Lambert Willcox believe that applying and being named in the top 10 was a huge compliment and was very encouraging.
“We found it gave us a huge injection of energy. Being acknowledged in our industry by a leading icon such as REIQ was extremely humbling,” Jesse said.
“It was very rewarding to be found as innovative leaders in an industry that is changing more so now than ever before.
“Young people in real estate were once thought of as being inexperienced and not yet skilled, so to be recognised with a new generation of real estate agents as successful was reassuring to us,” he said.
Applying for the REIQ Young Guns is a more relaxed process compared with other professional awards and the successful top 10 get some great exposure for their emerging careers!
Lambert Willcox owners said that being named in the top 10 2017 Young Guns confirmed the leap of faith they took to open their agency, Lambert Willcox, only two years ago.
“We are proud to say that we have been able to grow our team here in our Broadbeach office,” Mitchell said.
“It certainly gave us a larger presence and profile within the industry on the Gold Coast which also put us on the national radar. This led to us winning other awards, including Jesse being named Queensland’s Domain Rising Star,” Mitchell said.
“The acknowledgment from the REIQ as a Young Gun also confirmed our decision to continue to pursue our digital innovation with the launch of our new video campaigns which will begin shortly.
“We continue to challenge established perceptions, push ourselves to the limit and always looking for the next edge for our clients,” he said.
Not only does the REIQ Young Guns competition give winners a boost of confidence but also, enables the top 10 to network with young, ambitious and successful peers in the profession.
Jesse said: “The best outcome of winning ‘REIQ Young Guns 2017’ was having the opportunity to meet other likeminded young agents.
“The afternoon we spent as a group was amazing. The atmosphere, enthusiasm and energy in the room was unmatched. While all the finalists shared a competitive streak, no one was afraid to share their successful (and not so successful) stories and situations.
“We left that evening with some new ideas that we could not wait to implement and to this day are still part of our business.
“I can honestly say we have made lifelong friends and this is an Award we won’t stop boasting about proudly anytime soon.
“We now look forward to achieving the REIQ Residential Agency of the year in the not too distant future,” he said
