REIQ training grows on the Sunshine Coast

While the Bruce Highway remains a construction zone with ongoing roadworks, it’s an opportune time to remind Sunshine Coast agency principals that new recruits don’t need to travel to Brisbane to complete the REIQ Registration Course.

The REIQ offers high quality training courses that are considered to deliver job-ready recruits.

And the peak body has recently improved the offering to the Sunshine Coast, delivering streamlined courses with faster assessments.

REIQ Professional Development Manager Sushila Richardson said the new and improved courses would ensure Sunshine Coast students were able to get to work sooner.

“We’ve really focused on the way we assess this course. While the content is a set number of prescribed units of competency as decided by the Office of Fair Trading, the way we deliver and assess training is able to be improved and we have really streamlined this process. The feedback has been very positive,” she said.

Ms Richardson said it was a great time for principals to enrol their new team members.

“If you’re thinking about putting your new recruits into a registration course, the REIQ is well regarded and considered to be an industry leader in this area,” she said.

However, time is running out. With new registration courses starting on June 10, the numbers are limited.

“The demand for training on the Sunshine Coast remains strong and we’re delivering a consistent level of training to that region. Our courses do sell out and I urge any principal who is thinking about it, to pick up the phone or go online and enroll today so they don’t miss out.”
